About Us

We met through a mutual friend during 2005, right before the start of freshman year at the University of Delaware. We were in most of the same classes that semester and did our calculus and chemistry homework together sometimes. At the beginning of October, Peter showed up at Melissa's dorm door with two chocolate malts from Dairy Palace (thanks Dad) and asked if she wanted to go for a walk. It was a pleasant night and we talked about a few things before he said he thought she was the most interesting girl he’d met so far and asked if she would like to go out with him. He seemed like a pretty cool guy so the answer was yes.

After lots of late nights (both from coursework and terrible movie viewings), bad jokes, international travel (including six months in Leipzing, harrumph!), chocolate, and hugs, it seems like it’s worked out so far. We’ll have known each other for eight years by the time we get married! Holy cow!
